To see the sea for what it is
And what it means to me,
I need not look very far
To feel a sense of glee.
It is where life began
How Noah saved us all,
It is where when you’re depressed
You’ll hear the ocean’s call.
It is what you stare into
In search of who you are,
It is what brings you peace
In search of heaven’s door.
When you need to see the sea
For what it means to you,
Sit and stare from the shore
Into the ocean’s blue.
You will find its a gift
That waits for you each day,
A gift that speaks to your soul
As you sit and pray.
If you look where sea meets sky
Perhaps you’ll even hear,
From loved ones who wait for you
Whose hearts still hold you dear.
To see the sea for what it is
And what it means to you,
You need not look very far
To have your dreams come true.
